Bloody Friday As New GM CEO Makes Sweeping Changes In Detroit
In a management shake-up Friday, General Motors acting chief executive Ed Whitacre pulled long-time auto executive Bob Lutz out of his role as head of marketing, putting him in a new role as an advisor on global design and product development.

Lutz retains his title as vice chairmen.

GM also named Mark Reuss president of GM North America. Reuss had been head of GM's Holden division in Australia before briefly taking the role of vice president of engineering.

"I want to give people more responsibility and authority deeper in the organization and then hold them accountable," Whitacre said in an statement.

This guy ran AT&T, which is really a cheat of a company. At&T would be in the red if it weren't for Apple's iPhone. Now he and the govt. czar are running GM. Don't trust them. They'll cut and run.

AT&T is much more than wireless.

Yea. Their wireless barely scratches the surface of the services they provide. But let me tell you, they are bar none the most difficult company I have ever had to deal with when it came to modifying a corporate account. They have so many divisions, and no one div. knows what the other does, or who to connect you to half the time.

AT&T needs to modify it's slogan to read, "Once you're family, you'll never leave because nobody knows".

Never noticed this before, but Whitacre carries a pale resemblance to George Bush. Maybe it's a conspiracy.
