2010 Bmw X1 receives 5 stars on the Euro NCAP crash test
At the recent Euro NCAP crash tests, the new BMW X1 was included in those models that scored the highest. BMW said that it owes this recognition to the car’s comprehensive standard safety features and an effective system of vehicle occupant protection which covers different types of collision.

In a release, BMW says that the X1 carries the high standard of the safety concept developed for the BMW X models. BMW added that its “extremely stable body structure” provides an ideal basis to ensure that the passenger cell is given maximum protection in the event of a forceful impact.

Oh I don't know.

Why does Bentley offer 4 different shades of brown?

You know what they always say, "if it's brown, get down"

I think it looks good, even like that color. Looks better than an EX37, anyway, at least it doesn't look like a sneaker on wheels.

Euro NCAP doesn't do a roof test, you are confusing it with the IIHS tests.

IIHS is not a government agency. Their roof test requires a much stronger roof for good scores than what the government requires. I wouldn't be surprised if Europe has some type of roof standard either.

Don´t be so bitter Huu.

Yes, the BMW X1 got 5 Stars in the EURO NCAP test, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser failed. Not a problem! Life goes on, even if your beloved brand is getting it hard at the moment.

Regarding the Euro NCAP test of the Toyota Urban Cruiser, Dr Michiel van Ratingen, Euro NCAP's secretary general said, "The result from Toyota is disappointing. Consumers should always check when looking to buy new car and not make presumptions about a vehicle's safety performance due to the brand it carries."
Toyota PR department says: “There is a difference of opinion between us and Euro NCAP on a technical matter, namely peak acceleration of the head area in the Pole Side Impact test. Once again, we remain fully convinced that Urban Cruiser is a safe car."

“Technical matter” - oh yeah! Good excuse. Toyota, you still need it a bit harder I believe. Your consumers are motionless following you too blindly. Let’s see how stupid you can act, until they leave you, for a far better competition.

The Euro NCAP released results for some other cars participating were:

BMW X1 – Five stars (as mentioned in the article)
Chevrolet Cruze – Five stars
Mercedes-Benz E-Class – Five stars
