2011 Audi A8 L (long version) to make its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show
As you may know already Audi unveiled the 2011 A8 sedan last week and it appears that the manufacturer is already preparing a second premiere, the long version of the car subbed A8 L.

Although many of you would expect this debut to be made in January at the Detroit Auto Show this is not going to be made there… the place chosen by Audi is the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show, the same place where Porsche decided to present the Panamera sedan back in April.

It's flagship, when you see it you will know. Expect to see a few more engine options as well.

Thanks for specifying (L for Long version)

Many of us could have mistaken for, let's say, Lichtenstein.

It's very conservative, but maybe they're just listening to their clientele.

7er is bulky and sporty, MB screams "i'm f*ckin rich", Lexus is conservative and well appointed, and this one is sleek, sporty and consertive. Don't blame automakers to try to create their own niche. They're all sort of clients, thus, there's all sort of cars.

Choose the one that fits your needs.

I think that in that class of cars, they're all good. The LS is not my kind of car, but to say it's a bad car is far fetched.

This car will attract those who want to stay un-noticed while having the priviledge to ride into one of the best car on the market. Same could be sais on the Phaeton and the LS.

You'll be suprised to know how many CEO's who have to park their cars next to "regular" employees are fond of Audi and Lexuses.

Nobody complains.

A fully loaded LS600HL or even an S8 are by far getting more un-noticed than even an E-class/5er.

What about the LS? If this will b the new A8, from the pic I thought it was an A4.
The LS looks far sportier, wider, lower than this thing.

…and now that Mitsubishi is using a similar grille…
