U.S. to receive diesel-powered Vw Beetle and electric Up!
A clean diesel engine is what’s in store for the next-generation Volkswagen Beetle, which will arrive in the US as a 2012 model, according to Volkswagen Group of America President Stefan Jacoby. However, the arrival of the gasoline-powered version has yet to be announced. In addition, the Up! Lite, a four-seat electric concept made its world debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Okay, the presidential race is over, we can stop using this ridiculous "clean diesel" title, just like we can stop saying "foreign oil". That's as dumb as saying a car is "red and black" because you see it fit to add the colour of the tyres to the description. It now goes without saying that diesels that are sold in the United States must meet Tier-IV standards, making them all effectively "clean".

The car looks nice, but why does it only have 4 seats! People with family's enjoy the benefits of a vehicle that is efficient too, when I shop at the grocery store and would like to buy free range chicken it NEVER comes in bulk packs to save $$, So you cant be green if you have a family.
