Nice illustration. Very natural, feels like what it should be.

Hybrid? the GT-R is doomed!. Super cars aren't meant to go hybrid. Producing a hybrid will be worst than owning a V12 when you look at it long term. Before you deboost me go do your research and the process to get those batteries made and into production cars. :)

sorry son but fairly soon what will be doomed is the word "V" as the world transitions from gas to full electric. You're right about batteries but the next generation Hybrids will not be what Toyota envisioned - rather an electric motor mated to a gasoline engine. The next ten years will be pretty interesting. Now I will go ahead and deboost you haha

agent63, you must not have heard about the HYBRID CELICA that handily beat out ALL competitors in a race in japan. including a slew of bmws and porsches.

not ALL hybrids are necessarily like the Insight.

Will it be a plug-in hybrid? A conventional hybrid would be disappointing as you lose that extra 160hp lap after lap.

people who have DISTORTED VIEWS of what hybrids and EVs are or "should be like" need to read road tests of the Tesla.

electric motors in cars ARE the wave of the future, whether in hybrids or pure electric vehicles.

carbon ceramic brakes will make NO SENSE in other than race cars. all the heat energy they dissipate AND THROW AWAY, would instead be recaptured by cars that have regenerative braking and BATTERIES in which to store the otherwise wasted energy.

and even in race cars, those expensive brakes will become white elephants.

the reason the hybrid Celica i mentioned above embarassed the porsches, was because it's special capacitors RECAPTURED braking energy all the conventional racers were THROWING AWAY.

This will be sick. Hope they can get it into production sooner rather than later.
