Spy Shots Of Mercedes-Benz Newest E-Class Cabrio Spill Out

First details of the Mercedes E-class cabrio have been released, including how the innovative retractable wind deflector that sits at the top of the windscreen works.

Called Aircap, the driver-operated system raises a wind deflector on the tip of the windscreen to direct wind 20cm higher, over the top of the passenger compartment. It works in conjunction with a rear deflector to eliminate buffeting and reduce noise with the roof down.

It can be raised up to 99mph, and operates effectively up to 161mph. As a result, Mercedes says the car is the first cabrio that can be used as a permanent four-seater throughout the year and on any type of road.

I think it is gorgeous. i am not fond of the brown color. Slap some silver, gold, black, or red and this baby will be hot.
Like it or not it is a beautiful car. I think it is well designed and looks tons bette than a 6 series. For the price the E class models are positioned well. I expect to see many of these in my city and at the beach.

It's a return to the more-angular designs from their past in the 80s and 90s, yet in my opinion it is done with good taste and form. I think it's handsome.

Mercedes has simply lost the ability to style a decent looking car. Everything looks like a banana from the side..low front..high back..no bold styling cues at all. Then..the SLS comes out..and they have to reach WAAAYYY back and copy one of the most famous, beautifully designed cars of all time because they can't figure out what to do with a clean sheet design. Weak.
