Volkswagen and Suzuki planning to develop a new small car

A replacement for the Alto model could be looming now that Volkswagen AG and Suzuki Motor Corp. have teamed up to create a new small car that has a price tag that would range from $4,300 and $5,400 for the Indian market, the Economic Times reports.

R.C. Bhargava, the chairman of Maruti Suzuki, India’s leading passenger carmaker, said that the new car could be a replacement for the bestselling Alto model.
