If the genesis ditched the cartoon headlights it would be about a 7/10, if they put in a decent power train 8/10, and 9/10 if the change that and fix the suspension all while keeping the price. But as it lies, 6/10?

I'm satisfied both agents picked the Toyota Prius. This iteration deserves every praise.

The rest of the list needs some correction, however. So, there we go, from the start.

1. Toyota Prius III - for the inherent top efficiency mated with practicality, affordability, top reliability, driving comfort and, recently, also pleasant, very modern styling and fine handling.

2. Volkswagen Scirocco 1.4 TSI (supercharger + turbo) 160HP - for dramatic stance, ticking many boxes by reusing Golf technology and the engine with lots of low down pull, fine sporty top end and efficiency JUST 7 PERCENT BEHIND THE DIESEL!

3. Ford Fusion Hybrid. For delivering what Toyota Prius does, only in a larger size. For looking good, driving well, sipping fuel, making no tradeoffs and being fully competitive.

4. Audi A4 Avant quattro/A5 quattro. For flawless, perfect styling, ticking almost all the technology boxes, fixing Audi understeery past and, with 40%/60% variable torque split quattro all wheel drive being probably the best car in its class. Recommended as estate or coupe, its two best shapes.

5. Kia Venga. USA won't get it, but this car offers wheelbase of a Corolla/Golf, but the length of Yaris. The art of intelligent packaging. It also comes with large boot, very attractive price and sleek styling.

6. Ford Fiesta. For proving that you can have a small work of everyday's art. Beautiful, efficient, classy.

7. Chevrolet Camaro. For being the best reincarnation of the muscle car spirit in the XXI century. I'd even say it is the best looking car in production today.

Please note:
- I picked the cars people can actually buy
- there is a wave of new, groundbreaking technology vehicles, like Chevrolet Volt, Tesla Model S, Nissan Leaf, Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid waiting in the queue. They cannot be purchased now, thus they haven't made appearance on the list.

Some of you have chosen the Ford Taurus.

Was I ever disappointed in the Taurus. The center console intrudes too much into the driver and I had trouble getting out of the back seat. I had plenty of room in there it was just climbing out.

LFA isn't properly tested yet (only small first drives) and it's very limited and expensive Super Car. Maybe best in what it is intended to do or in it's class but i think here the question is more all-round and reachable car. A bit like Lamborghini Murcielago Superveloce which is also not mentioned by anyone.

The SV is just a tuned/lightened Murcielago. The LFA is a completely new car from a manufacture that has never built anything like it.

I'm pretty surprised nobody has it on their list. Considering what early reviews say about it, I'd probably put it on mine.

LF-A is a 2011 car.

A lot of vehicles that people mentioned are 2011 too. It's not like the LFA debuted just yesterday. I'm really surprised, too. I love the LFA, and I wonder if I would get deboosted for saying that.

@World

001 and myself agreed that we would stick to 2010 models. Unfortunately, if you do not set rules you wind up with a compromised list.

On 001's list, I would swap out the 911 Turbo for the 458 Italia and the X6M for the CTS-V.
On OOR's, swap the X5M for the CTS-V.

If this was for MY 2009 cars, I would definitely put the CTS-V up there, but it's not.

Although if we were comparing badass five-person haulers, I'd go with the X5M still. Just sounds so fantastic.

I highly suggest finding one at your earliest convenience.
