He's BaaAaAack! Schumacher Inks A Deal With Mercedes GP for F1

Michael Schumacher has agreed a 3.5 million euro deal (£3.1m) to drive for Mercedes GP in Formula One next season, according to German media reports.

Can't wait to see shumi vs hami. btw on some other F1 websites i read Schumacher is charging lot more than 3.5 million Euro.

Comeback definately would be tough for him especially the 3 years gap and had spent almost all of his career at Ferrari but good luck.
Also one of his biggest rival, Alonso is now at Ferrari.
Can't wait for 2010 season.

Yes, sounds like an exciting season. Its funny how his arch rival in his final two seasons (Alonso) is now sitting in his seat at Ferrari.

Should make for a great 2010 season. Also, I would like to see Hamilton v. Schumacher v. Vettel!!!

I was thinking the same thing. I mean he used to get $20-30M from Ferrari. Why would he go to work for a competitor for $5M?

I guess the problems he experienced due to pain must have been lessened for him to drive again. Good luck!

Funny

Last time i changed 10,000 GBP i was given 9,650 Euro in return {Commission Free Cambio in Airport}

So quite how 3.5m Euro is 3.1GBP eludes me.

I believe you were, to be quite frank, ripped off with their exchange rate... There has not, at any point in the history of the Euro:GBP that the Euro was stronger than the Pound Sterling. The lowest point was late Dec 2008, which was at roughly 1GBP=1.03Euro. But the Euro was never, and I emphasis NEVER, stronger than the pound.

Really! Ferrari said they willing let him go, but inside, they are cringing at his return!

I wonder how much of asshole Alonso's presence has prompted Schumacher's departure? I for one turned my back on the Ferrari team when they took on that little brat. I'm not supporting any team that he's a part of. Schumacher is a star in my book and it would be great to see him back. But my fear is that he won't be as great as he was 3 years ago and our memory of the giant will be tainted by lacklustre performances next year.
