Audi Prepares The A1 Challenge - But Is The U.S. Ready to Accept The First Small Premium Car?
Audi is on a roll lately in the U.S. gaining market share and is showing no signs of letting up any time soon.

But is the U.S. market ready for the changes they have in store this time?  Specifically Audi will be the first manufacturer to offer a premium car in the subcompact segment when it launches the new Audi A1 in Geneva.

Audi is targeting an admittedly younger and more affluent group of buyers with new standards of quality, technology, and design but this is something that has never succeeded in the good old U.S.A., after  doesn't small mean cheap?

It all sounds great on paper, but are U.S. buyers ready to associate premium and small in the same package?

In early February the A1 will be unveiled, but until then, we are just going to have to wait for the whole scoop, but Audi has promised in the weeks ahead we will be getting glimpses and details before the debut.

Here are a few details for those who want to be the first to get the details in February and up to then:

The A1 Microsite will go online at www.audi.com/a1 the same time as details are released an Audi A1, a Facebook fan page at www.facebook.com/audia1, the Audi YouTube channel  www.youtube.com/audi, and an A1 Twitter channel http://twitter.com/audi_online

That looks like Suzuki Swift. This type of model must carry VW or Seat..etc badge not premium Audi badge.
