Honda NSX racer rendered for the first time
This is the first image of Honda’s NSX racer that has been released. While it is true that Honda’s flagship sports car is being seriously considered for production, it’s possible that it is preparing a race version codenamed HSV-010. This vehicle is slated to participate in next year’s Japan Super GT Series.

Also, it is possible that it will have the same front engine, rear drive layout as the road version, but it will most likely not use 4WD. According to a Honda insider, when the announced that it was canceling the NSX project in late 2008, an R&D team was actually testing the car at Suzuka Circuit.

yeah me too nexct to the late 90's toyota supra. I love the NSX. for a car that was designed by ferrari back in the day with honda technology it was a perfect match. pretty much a race car out of the box. I just wished they stuck to the rear engine design looks better to me. I also think that honda could make a better sports car than that LFA Lexus....

I do hope they bring it back, but I'm not so sure about the body...I'll keep my 91 daily driver with 200k miles, thank you.

OK. Acura jumped the shark back with the CL. Remember they made great looking cars until then? The CL had this hideous line right down the middle. Then, the TL started sporting a full-on beak that is the laughing stock of the auto industry. Now it looks like they are combining the worst of both, for the car that should be the best.

They can call it anything they like, but that's no NSX. For that matter, is any company even capable of building a nice low-slung sportscar with clean lines?

Well recently the CEO of Honda motor corp. said the LFA is a monster which in fact (the LFA) has struct fear in the hearts of many CEOs of auto mfgs. It's not that the LFA will kill most of the raw power super cars out there, it will just trump them in the personal fit category. That being said; the Lexus supercar (LFA) fits like(the driver/enthusiast)a perfectly taloired glove or suit. "That my friends will no doubt expose the competition big time"!........"Honda is going to need some serious luck at this point because Toyota just pulled out the ultimate trump card"!

I agree, which is why I asked the question: DID LEXUS BUILD THE NSX FOR HONDA W/ LFA?

Have these types of magazines ever created something even close to realistic that was produced. Worst rendering ever, looks like something a 12 year old created in Need for Speed.
