POLL: Is the new Toyota Tundra the new top of the class or did the American's dodge a bullet here?

it looks like a bigger 4 Runner. A friend of mine has a 4 Runner and that truck is really nice. The inside is plush and much better than all the American offerings....I bet Detroit just threw up when this was unveiled today.

The styling is teh suck. I agree with the whoe Ford/Dodge hybrid statement. . .

People, I wonder if anyone who's downplaying the new Tundra has checked out the crash test site, http://www.iihs.org/

You'll see how the old Tundra lead them all in frontal crash test (the only test conducted). And actually the sad truth is that the American trucks are always at the end of the list. Always remember that a true comparison is when the same or at least close size engines are compared against each other.

This is how I spell ugly...T.U.N.D.R.A. I don't care how many biased Japanese car fans there are that voted. That will not compare to current Ford, GM, Dodge trucks. I don't care how much Toyota tries to emulate Ford.

I know 2 guys that own a Tundra and they both with they got either Ford or GM. With this new Tundra the playing field will be shortened. I like what Toyota did with the drive line and followed Dodge and Ford with a fully boxed frame. Toyota is good for making smart design into their trucks, but will gain no market share.
