Four-cylinder Buick Lacrosse coming in first quarter of 2010! Priced at $26,995!
Buick announced today the 2010 Lacrosse sedan will be available with a new fuel-efficient, direct injected Ecotec 2.4L four-cylinder engine. The new Ecotec 2.4L four-cylinder will join the lineup in the first quarter of 2010 and promises to deliver 182 horsepower (136 kW) and 172 lb-ft. of torque (233 Nm).

Mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, the new vehicle is expected to deliver a fuel economy of 30 mpg highway and 20 mpg city, which means that the LaCrosse will become one of the most fuel-efficient cars in its segment.

the current base 3.0 liter LaCrosse is already bit deliberate in accelerating... the four-banger will be absolute hell. this car is too big and heavy for that, not to mention the awful, pathetic sound that 4 cylinder engines make.

That money could get you a really great 2-year old luxury or sport sedan...and it would keep its value better too.

T_bone,

I definitely agree with you on that one. You can get a use 2007 or 2008 Infiniti G37 coupe or a Lexus IS350. That is a lot for Buick and not only that, it a 4 cylinder engines.

I would take the use 2007 or 2008 Infiniti G37 coupe or Lexus IS350 instead.

How about a new 370z. Since these re-badged opels will have dealer markups, this car is a much better option. 330bhp sport tuned engine and just 5 less mpg hwy compared to a tree hugger tuned engine. The 300 extra kg is not helping either.

I don't where you live 1uaw. In Orange County, CA I get a really good use G37 coupe. And by it an Infiniti a Brand from Japan, it probably more reliable than anything the Big 3 or 2 make anyway.

I think this Buick is the best looking one I've ever seen. It has the premium look to it, something edging closer to the Cadillac. It has always been the underdog and being the shadow of flagship Cadillac brand for GM but I think they are on the right track. It's a great alternative to Lincoln and most definitely Chrysler (a brand that was never a luxury brand and never touched Cadillac's sales).

An Infiniti G35/G37 coupe or Lexus IS350 with 100k miles on it will probably still more reliable than any cars made by the Big 3 or 2. And and that is the sad part.

With $27k I can a use 2007 or 2008 G35/G37 Infiniti coupe/sedan or a Lexus IS350 with less than 30k miles on the Odometer. Don't belief me go to autotrader.com and do a search. And it is a fully loaded model too.

Are argument with GT-R transmission problem is LAME, because the G35 and G37 coupe/sedan are two different type of car. Plus the G35/g37 does NOT have the launch control like the GT-R.

Lexus IS350 is a very good and realiable car. Big 3 or 2 isn't perfect themselves. Want proof? just do a search google. Ha...ha...ha...

correction,

your argument is lame comparing the GT-R to to Infiniti G35/G37. Same company but different type of cars.
