BMW's 2011 5-Series Gets Some Upgrades, Is THIS The Direction You Want The M5 To Head In?

BMW's 2011 5-Series Gets Some Upgrades, Is THIS The Direction You Want The M5 To Head In?
Now that BMW has finally unveiled its all-new F10 5-Series, everyone has since wondered "what will the next M5 look like?"

Perhaps this will give us a hint, but the question I ask is simple: is this is heading in the right direction?

Do you want to see the M5 with a more swoopy and aggressive facade? OR maybe you want to see the next gen M car look a bit more edgy and full of hard lines?

In an unexpected combination, German-based Lumma design and a Russian tuner, Topcar, has teamed together to produce a modified 2011 5-Series.

What do you think?

that bodykit is hideous and doesn't fit the personality of the M5 at all. BMW will never make the M5 look like that.

this isnt a mercedes with doofy lorinser kit they do....this kit looks like a knockoff lorinser kit for the 5 series. BMW would not even consider something so hideous as this. this looks like a kits that would sell on ebay for $400 for the complete kit...lolol...there is way too much going on in that body kit I think I will be satisfied (as i was with all the past 5 series) with the M-Development team to give the car its OWN BMW M DIVISION LOOK NO OUTSIDERS PLEASE.

I feel guilty for saying this, but I think the people responsible for this car did a rather good job. The front and rear lower fascias don't look too tacky. The brake vents are a bit out of place but the wheel arch cladding looks very aggressive; I'd rather have tuners place honest wheel arches than having them put silly molding to smooth out the area - just don't like how the wheel arches remind me too much of Merc's AMG Blacks.

OOR, get real. The M5 will not go in this direction.

one word ... "Excessive". Too much of everything in that kit. The M body kit for the new 7 series will be much closer.

it's a little much. bmw M cars--while aggressive looking--are FAR MORE understated and tasteful than that (or AMG or lexus ISF).

i think the front bumper is completely possible given the X6M and X5M... they've taken a liking to the enlarged ducts. but the fenders will never happen. i like the front... not so much the back.

The front and rear treatment is fantastic...The side treatment reminds e too much of the AMG treatment on the Black Series - nice for MB but its AMG so the BMW should try something different...

Yawn... The current Lexus GS looks sportier.

I like it. At least it is something "radical" and different. I know for sure BMW wont go this route, but its nice to see all different design ideas.
