AUTO SPIES EXCLUSIVE: Initial Tahoe sales strong

Internal GM sources have told the Spies that the new Tahoe is off to a fast start...

Even though it's only been out since mid-January, early indicators look strong that it will be a sales success.

GM had forecasted sales of 1700 units for January but actually sold around 5200 Tahoes.

It's a really well done truck and we hope the strong sales continue.

The other interesting fact was dealers have reported to us that they are starting to conquest Ford and Toyota (Explorer/Expedition/Sequoia) customers with the new Tahoe.

a year from now how sales are....once all the people and intial bruhaha go away.... Then you can get one with DEEP discounts.

Besides the Hybreds, GM is the only car maker that has gone above the standard when it comes to MPG. The Tahoe gets better gas milage than even most mid size SUV. I would to see GM get more credit for. Good story Spies. Thanks
