AUTO SPIES EXCLUSIVE: When will this Lexus be available at dealers?

We're finally back in paradise (San Diego), starting to thaw out after our frigid stay in Chicagoland this week.

As you know, one of the hot announcements at the show was the release of the 2007 Lexus ES350.

A much improved car over its predecessor, the new ES should help keep Lexus sales on a roll.

The Spies have learned the official on sale date in dealers for the new ES is April 21st.

That means initial orders are probably just starting to be put into the factory.

So if you're interested in one we suggest you mosey on over to your dealer so you can configure one to your liking.

More photos of this car are in our Chicago auto show gallery.

The ES was never an impressive model and I don't know why Lexus isn't changing that.

"Thank god for BMW and Cadillac for trying out something original once and a while. "

Does original = "ugly"

Why doesnt lexus make the ES more impressive? Because the demographic buying them doesnt need impressive. Impressive costs more money, and they are happy with what the es has to offer. Its not my cup of tea, but it sells very well for them.
