Video: Nissan GT-R does 0-60 MPH in 2.98 seconds...

DragTimes.com tests a tuned Nissan GT-R and does 0-60 MPH in just 2.98 seconds on a G-TECH pro meter. Pretty amazing how easy it is to go very fast in the GT-R on the street. The driver let's the car go at just 3k RPM and the GT-R launches and shifts ultra quickly to get to 60 MPH in just under 3 seconds, twice in a row.

Quick but it must be real hard on the car. I wonder how solid that car is after 100 0-60. The jitters must rattle some parts loose (interior). It's definitely not built with Euro or it's Japanese counterpart (LF-A).

If you listened to the car taking off, you can tell it has the software update. Not only the update is safer on the transmission, it increased acceleration.

$20,000 transmission repair for a sweet 0-60 time. . . Just not worth it.

The tranny thing has been done to death, it's OVER, get it? The new software has eliminated the problem.

With the after market parts available... any car can be modified these days to do that.

With that kind of gears and turbo settings, top speed is probably somewhere between 63 and 64.5 MPH

Ya, an M3 is $84,000.... Or about $14,000 less for the M3 and free maintenance and a quality interior. You can drive the M3 daily, not the GT-R.

The GTR can do 3.5 to 60mph stock provided ideal weather conditions. It seems like AWD is new technology to you.

Does'nt matter how fast the GT-R is from 0-60, this is expected with AWD, once the LFA spools up around 9000rpm and hits 60mph it will be over for the GT-R. "I mean game over"!!!

1UAW, which part of the video that shows the car's speedo and tach running 0-60 twice in a row did you miss?

As I was saying the R8 is absolutely ugly and is super weird...that thing is going to look like poop next to the 458 Italia & Lexus LFA. That thing is God Ugly!
