Breaking: Lexus GS-F in the works!
After they told us about the coming of the 2013 Nissan GT-R Hybrid, Japan’s Best Car Magazine is back with more hot news! According to the folks from Japan, Lexus is working hard on the GS-F Sports Sedan, a new vehicle which is going to take on the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, Audi RS6 and the Bmw M5.

It appears that the vehicle is going to receive a massive V10 (although a V8 is also considered but it seems that is not too powerful to push the car to its limits).

if the price of the LFA is about $400k with the V10 engine in it what the hell is going to be the price of the GS-F if it uses the same V10 engine $200k.....because if the car doesnt price match the M5, or E63 they can forget about that car competing with anyone.

Instead of them maaking a GSF sedan why dont they remake the SC460 how old is that thing going on 9 years old......pretty damn old for a design to be out there.

NOW NOW NOW....

As an avid Mercedes fan, the GS has always been one of my favorite cars from Lexus. If they come up with a GS-F that looks half decent I may get rid of my LS for this badboy. It's too easy to just go and get an E65, XFR, S/RS6, or M5 but if the GS-F is actually half decent it will be good enough for me.

You only want a half-decent car? Then dont go for the GS-F, get the standard version.

I too say drop the LFA motor in it. GS-F would be stunning.

But staying green isn't really staying green. The process to get those batteries made will harm the planet even more in the long run. But I guess most consumers will be too naive anyways. I guess it's better to put it this way. Drop the LS600s hybrid set up to give the car good performance while giving good city/hwy mileage.

Yeah! If Lexus comes with this baby the M5 crowd will have hell on their hands! Bank on it!

Lol I wouldn't go as far as saying the M5 crowd will have hell on their hands but they will have another option besides the M5, XFR, E63 and S/RS6, which in my opinion are all very good and very refined. I expect the same from the GS-F because this is a tough crowd to impress. Each have their own niche and specialties whether it's hammer blows or precision attacks each impress and teases the mind of the curious.

I wouldnt bank on that because besides a V10 engine what else will it have and more importantly HOW MUCH WILL IT COST. as i said above if they are using that V10 from the LFA I hope the price of the GS-F matches those of the E63, M5, or S6, whoever buys a $200k GS is a damn fool. also you have to have handling and cornering in the bag and also if this car comes with the ridiculous looking DTM BODYKITS like the IS-F thats going to hurt lexus also. so for them to beat out an M5 they need to make the complete package and not just market a V10 engine. It will have some very stiff competition to beat out the german BIG 3....IMO.

Another thing too is the GS-F will be expensive. It'll come in around 100k..upwards but I'm sure you'll get top Mark Levinston and top everything else which is standard Lexus quality. By the way, think Lexus is going to sit on their laurels after goin through those senarios with jamming accelerators and not raise the bar once again, especially with incoming Pres. Akio Toyoda, think again. The guy is extremely competitive both high performance wise and quality control wise. You should hear or read some of his interviews...this guy is like from the ferrari camp performance wise and from the Bentley camp luxury wise.

My bad!...Ferrari not ferrari. As far as I'am concerned Ferrari holds the top notch for exotics but I would still take the new LFA over the new Italia...if you know what I mean!

I have a question but not one to start a war!

Do any of you believe such vehicle from Lexus could out-perform the Cadillac CTS-V? Im only asking where you guys are on that one because the CTS-V wasnt mentioned in any of your posts. Is Cadillac not real competition in this category? Im just asking! (pretty obvious question considering my name)

If the Lexus IS-F can hit 0-60 in 4.2 sec im here to tell ya the GS-F, if it's made will surely hit 3.9 from 0-60 and 122mph in the 1/4 mi especially if it gets the LFA motor. Definately the GS-F! But the Caddy wont out class the GS-F...that's for darn sure!

You are whacked. I'd rather have the cadillac.
Never heard of an IS-F running 0-60 in 4.2
