Rumor: Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe to debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed

For those who can’t wait anymore for the brand S-Class Coupe a.k.a. new CL, we have a good news: Mercedes-Benz is going to reveal the new car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, in June 2010.

According to AutoBild, the new vehicle will also debut with a brand new V8 engine which will replace the current 5.5-liter V8 delivering 388 hp.

It will really be an awesome full size luxury coupe based on the S-Class. There is nothing that really competes with it. It's the same price as the Gran Turismo (Here in Canada) and in terms of luxury it's closest to the Bentley GT and have been mentioned in numerous auto reviewers. The CL is a great car, it's much more comfortable than the SL which is one of my favorites of all time.

Can't wait. I hope their styling is subtle on this one. The E-Class has grown on me a lot so on that note, there is hope.

i think he was just saying the s-class coupe will be a good car. generalizing he probably meant the next gen s coupe will be a good car too and that its got no competition from any of the immediate competition besides maserati and bentley gt coupe so whats with the facts? its not like he made up some bullshit. you guys nitpick like grannies.
