Fully loaded Ford Fiesta will carry a premium price of more than $23000
Are you ready to pay premium prices for small cars? Ford Motor Co. seems to think so as it will charge more than $23,000 for a fully loaded Fiesta, a car that’s smaller than the Focus.

The market for small cars has long been dominated by budget shoppers. But Jim Farley, Ford’s group vice president of global marketing, says that with this price, the model has already taken 1,000 orders. Farley explains that what Americans have shown the company is that if aspirational products are released, they will not only pay the base price but they will opt to go up as well. The 2011 Fiesta, which goes on sale in summer, is priced from $13,995 including shipping for the four-door sedan.

23 grand is not excessively high, especially if for that money you get ALL the toys. Leather, sunroof, so on, so forth. However...I may be alone in the world, but I would NEVER...and I say again..NEVER buy a car at any price that has drum brakes at the rear. That means that the Fiesta is out of the question because as far as I can tell, there are no plans to make it available with them. Additionally, I hope for the 23 grand people will be able to get their hands on an Ecoboost version. I know it doesn't currently exist, but with strong competition coming from GM shortly...

I dont think it is terrible if it does have the sync technology, the upgraded engine they were talking about and the sport bodykit for the hatch. I mean, you can get a VW GTI for $30k and thats a hatch. Spend $7k less for the same vehicle, why not? If thats your market and interest.
