Spy Shots: Toyota Etios To Battle The Nano In Emerging Markets

These are reported to be the first pictures of the Toyota Etios, a new small car for emerging markets that is set to be unveiled at the New Delhi motor show this week.

The car, which was snapped in the show halls, with the pictures then being posted on Facebook, won't be a Nano rival, however, as it's set to cost around $10,000 (£6000). Instead, it will challenge one of India's other best-selling cars on price, the Maruti Swift.

Between this and the Nissan Altima picture a few weeks back. I'm starting to wonder how easy it is to sneak up to the roof and climb around the ceilings of these places.

No offense but some people need to research some sources before posting articles with crappy pictures.

Toyota Etios to battle Nano? So a $10,000 is a direct competitor to a $2000 car? What am I missing here?

The 10k car could probable be sold in the states where the nano can not.

Saw on TV today, There is a motor show going on in India and Toyota showed this model there. Etios looks bigger than iQ and even iQ is more expensive than Nano so automatically Etios is not a competitor of Nano. Maybe it's the replacement of Toyota Yaris also badged as Toyota Belta in some Asian countries.
