Continental working on an accelerator that helps drivers reduce fuel consumption

The “active pedal” also helps you avoid rear-end collisions by applying back force to the accelerator or vibrating the pedal. This pushes the driver to slow down if there is an accident risk.

dumb, I dont want a computer controlling my acceleration. Save it for the Prius penny pinchers. How about they put a governor on all hybrids and limit them to 60mph. It's annoying when they are in my left lane.
