One of the hottest trends in high end vehicles is the matte paint technique.

The Spies have spotted the first matte black Escalade cruising the streets of LA, driven by none other than David Beckhams wife, former spice girl Victoria.

Sociallitelife.com caught it parking at the Grove in LA.

Is it hot or sleazy?

Lol deboosted for that? Well I think it's nice. No one ever complains aboute Matte black when it's on other vehicles why complain now?. Bandwagoners just scared to get criticized. I stand on my own two feet. I would rock that Escalade. It's different. Why be like the rest of the population? Not everything has to be bling bling.

Matte anything on a car is ugly - how did this ever become "fashionable"? So if a popular rapper starts driving around on flat tires, suddenly people will start doing the same? Absolutely ridiculous. Hey, he's driving with cracked windshields, yeah...

Sorry matte finishes are shoddy and look poor.

BTW that is an Escalade ESV, check the rear window, it's longer than a standard Escalade. Good job on identification spies, we can tell a model car from 70ft. up in rafters of a building with grainy photos, but this, nah just call it the wrong model.

The paint looks cool, not sure about the rims; they look a little thin. The tinted windows also look illegal (maybe back window is legal). Overall, the car looks pretty sinister. Recently saw a flat black Escalade (regular wheelbase, not ESV) in Dubai with stock chrome rims, and it looked pretty nice. I still maintain the the Mercedes G Class and the Lambo Gallardo look the best with this kind of paint job...

I like it, but to each their own! I mean, for some reason people drive Lexus', but to each their own!
I would love an X5-M in matte black. Now that would be hot!
