Volkswagen's MKVII Golf Info Hits The 'Net, Is This Rendering Showing A Better Looking Veedub?
Thanks to our friends at Auto Zeitung, we have a rendering of what could very well be the next Volkswagen Golf MKVII.

It seems that this perennial, auto journalist favorite is always being trailed by another new model. Probably because the German's give the U.S. last dibs due to VW's awful lead time. When the Golf V came out it was all about the Golf VI a week later. Now that we have gotten a taste of the VI, it is time for the VII.

And when the VI has been such a brilliant move forward and is forcing companies to "up" the interiors in its price segment, you know the VII will be that much better.

Said to be up to 60 pounds lighter than the outgoing generation, the VII is supposed to be built on a new chassis that will allow for better weight distribution as well as hybrid or electric technology. Of course all of this is good news, but more importantly...

What do you think? Is this design too safe and traditional? Or why fix something that ain't broke?

The Golf VI is really a refreshed V this car is totally new and will be made simpler and have less "issues" with reliability and have more gadgets as well to play with...HOPEFULLY they will get rid of that stupid Iron block 2.0T and replace it with something made out of aluminum!! They also should kill the wet clutch DSG and give it a simpler dry clutch DSG gearbox that will be easier to service and deal with in cold weather.

Very sharp! Looks great in that color too.

How come every time someone says a design is conservative I am drooling?
