2010 DETROIT AUTO SHOW EXCLUSIVE: The Spies Uncover First Shots Of The 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS

2010 DETROIT AUTO SHOW EXCLUSIVE: The Spies Uncover First Shots Of The 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS
Dear Agent001,

I was working the show floor this morning at Detroit and I stumbled upon the what looks like new 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS!

Now both of us know that this model isn't due out to October, so I figured your readers would love to get a glimpse of it before the actual debut.

According to the rumors, a hybrid version of the new CLS will be offered, and it should get the same powertrain as the S400 Hybrid that was launched at the end of 2009, including the 268-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 and 382-hp, 5.5-liter V-8. I can't wait for the 6.2 liter 518hp AMG model 518-hp, even a turbocharged 5.0-liter hits the road.

I hear the CLS Hybrid will make use of revolutionary light weight lithium-ion batterie,s and offer more power than the nickel hydride units used in today’s hybrids.

If I uncover more I'll let you know when we meet for drinks,

Are we on for drinks tonight?

Taylor

Looks like it has the nose of the SLS and the rear quarter panels of the E550 coupe. Could be interesting, can't wait to see how the 4 doors are integrated.

THIS IS RETARDED they send a sculpture of a car that resembles a concept instead of just making a concept to be abstract, artsy and even more pig headed then usual....got to love the Germanic way of them telling the customer what the customer will like. JaWohl!

The designer of the new CLS said people will worship this car when they see it.That's a bold statement but I believe it's gonna be a head turner just like the current generation.
