If The 2011 BMW M5 Looks Like This Would You Be The First On The Block Have One?
BMW will launch the new M5 in 2011, the super saloon variant of the F10-series new 5-series family. Our artist's impression reveals how the hot Five will look at launch next March, after a show debut in late 2010 or early 2011.

We have the full four-page lowdown from Georg Kacher in the latest January 2010 issue of CAR Magazine, but here are some nuggets to whet your appetite:

4.4-litre V8 bi-turbo
578bhp, 530lb ft
155mph limited top speed
0-62mph 4.4sec
Unlimited top speed 188mph

That direct-injection 4.4 lump is the same engine you'll find under the hood of the X5 M and X6 M, but further tweaked by M Division to liberate more power. Forced induction makes it the first M saloon to be turbocharged.

yeah looks like it has a carbon fibre roof I like the wheels but The M5 always looks stunning IMO. BMW never went overboard with their M5 styling but I know some tuners are going to want to crank out 600hp or better but I am sure this will do. I would like to see how the new european RS6 matches up with this. I love BMW's and their Engineering reputation so of course I am going to say yes I would definitley be the first on the block. this interpretation is very subtle and BMWish IMO

I like it. It looks more muscular and Lean (compared to the E60) and it looks "smaller" and more agile...

I like the M5 enough to take that old crappy existing model (where is my sarcasm font?)

GT-R for me

yes, a GT-R has nothing to do with a regular midsize sedan, but an M5 isnt a regular sedan. its a high-end performance car with HP/TQ numbers similar to the GT-Rs and others it competes with. for my money, i rather have the GT-R for a high end performance car. got it?
