2011 BMW 335iS Coupe Details Leak Out
It appears the BMW is getting tired of all the glowing reviews of Audi's latest S5, and is upping the ante with the 335is for 2010.
Due out in the first quarter of this year the 335iS will receive a boost of 22 horsepower and the addition of an optional 7 speed DSG like sport transmission to help tilt the playing field back to BMW's favor though AWD isn't in the cards just yet for the "iS".
Given the rivalry between these two automakers we wouldn't expect it to be long before Audi counters this latest threat from Munich.

"BMW is committed to delivering the ultimate in product satisfaction, as a commitment to their customers and to demonstrate the confidence in their product, the HPFP in the 335is will be covered by our exclusive ten year limited warranty."

This sounds like BMW is keeping the same HPFP in the N54 and all of its failures and has resolved to just replacing them when they go bad instead of trying to solve the problem by developing a new fuel pump system. That's just bad.

ou forgot to add "at the ultimate price" (deboosting begin). But also they didnt mention which Xdrive it will have, or is that S drive.
BMW 335 iS Sdrive35i? Can't wait to see that slapped on the backside.

It wouldnt be slapped on the back, it would be in the same spot as the xdrive badge on the front fenders. BMW always produces rear wheel drive first since 90% of its market doesnt care about xdrive. Just like the new 5 series, first production will be just rear wheel and this fall will be AWD production.

to me RWD you get a better performing car with less weight and corners better than a AWD system unless you have 4WS or AWS( 4 wheel steering or All wheel steering). Bmw's were born as RWD cars and I think they should remain that way.

Who would have the sense of driving it on snow or ice?

you know what? You gotta pay to play! A lot of people would love to have a 911 turbo, but you gotta pay a lot of dough to drive it!

Nice engine upgrades. 3 series would raise the performance barrier in it's class even higher. Now the comparisons with S4 will be more fair.

No Limited Slip Diff? What a joke.

Whoever De-boosted me probably doesn't even know what a limited-slip differential is.
