No Jaguar XJ Coupe for you! Compact C-Type in the works!
Like many, we also thought that the new 2010 Jaguar XJ flagship’s launching in the US this spring will soon be followed by the XJ coupe rendered here. But now, it appears that it would be the Jaguar C-Type.

A source familiar with the matter in Europe said that the C-Type would be compact, offered in two-seat coupe and convertible body styles, and target such cars as the Audi TT, BMW Z4 and Mercedes-Benz SLK. Since Jaguar has difficulty getting its 5.0-liter V8 in a car this size, company engineers will have to downsize that engine into a V6.

"followed by the XJ coupe rendered here"...

Where? All that's pictured here is the standard-issue sedan/4-door.

Thats the wrong link. I seen the XJ coupe illustration and it is beautiful IMHO. I would much rather have the XJ coupe than the C-Type but true enthusiasts would disagree. Both are nice though.

Agree...Jaguar has been pushing the release of the Xj's just to make sure that there's no bugs. They want to make it perfect for the Consumers. jaguar has been really stepping up on their designs.
