Rendering – Chevrolet Cruze Wagon
Not much has been reported on the Wagon variant of the Chevrolet Cruze which is engineered to serve customers in Europe and America. The Chevrolet Cruze Estate is expected with a 2.0-liter VCDi engine and 1.8-liter petrol engine. Both automatic and manual transmission will be offered. GM is rumored to be developing hybrid technology for the Cruze for a later date.

We expect the Chevrolet Cruze station wagon to have A-Z of equipment. Work on the Cruze platform is well underway in different parts of the globe.

Even though it's a rendering, I kinda like it. However the Cruze I do not think will go wagon in the states. Regardless of rumors. My reasoning being that the Cruze is going to compete with the Civic, Corolla, 2012 Focus, Sentra. None of which offer a wagon, however a hatch to compete with the Focus would be more appropriate unless they feel they cannot compete.

The Cruze is definitely a plus for Chevy in comparison to the outgoing Cobalt which failed to hit the marks. But I am afraid the new 2012 Ford Focus is going to be driving circles around it and its competitors.

Isnt the Aveo RS suppose to be the hatch version of the Cruze? With that and the Spark hatch, I dont think there is room for a Cruze hatch. Well then again, the Cruze is Cobalt's replacement and the Cobalt was bigger than the Aveo Sedan/Hatch. IDK, someone explain Chevy's new small cars. They all seem to overlap each other.

I think they need to hold on as the coupe has not come out yet. Its not like its going to sell well anyways with the current competition.
