The fuel capacity on a Q7 is 26.4 US gallons. Given the trip computer calculates leaving you a reserve of 2 US gallons, we can deduct that the range of 640 miles divided by 24.4 gal capacity to be about 26mpg. This is assuming the tank was full. If you would have reset the trip computer while sustaining a constant highway speed we might have seen an even better range displayed. Hwy MPG with this engine should fall into the 30+ MPG range although a combined rating of 26mpg is more than acceptable for a vehicle this size.
