AUTO SPIES EXCLUSIVE: First real life photo of the 2007 Audi Q7 S-line

This is the real thing. This photo is all over the internet but was released by Audi about a month ago. It has also been distributed internally. They will make this package available for all engine choices eventually and will start with June production for the 4.2 version. Look for it in US showrooms starting this fall in October. No official word on price yet but don't expect it to be cheap. Probably around $4-5K

Come on, Audi, being a fan, you really need to paint the lower body as standard in all vehicles. It's ugly and makes it look unfinished, if not cheap. As a way to deplete inventory, automakers tend to paint the entire exterior on a vehicle's last year in production, before a new or revised model arrives.

And the S-Line Package is more cosmetic than a true performance upgrade. Ala AMG Package on MBs. Superficial. Are we that shallow? It's better to look good than feel good? I see younger drivers slap AMG or M badges on their cars, just so others think they have the real deal. Come on, who you fooling?
