*UPDATE* Pictures Of The 2011 BMW 335iS Published, Are The Updates For Better Or Worse?
**UPDATE** Pictures from BMW's U.S. website were published showing the new 335iS.

With rumors circulating about the latest sporty BMW coming from the Bavarians being the 335iS, there has been some speculation pinpointing what will make the iS different from its siblings.

Well, thanks to the European release of the M-sport package, I am pretty confident we have a pretty good idea now. Although there was no mention of cosmetic upgrades from the recently leaked information, if history provides any clues, they should be a "go."

Since the E46 performance package was largely based on the European M-technik package, it is a good chance that the 335iS will take its cues from the European M-sport pack.

What say you Spies? Let us know in the comments below...

Autoblog.it reports:

"New shots and first official images of the M-sport package for the refurbished 3 Series Coupe and Convertible. The exhibition includes front and rear bumper fascias on the more specific sport (the same seen on the pre-facelift versions) and a more pronounced rib from the end sill..."

This looks nice and all, and I know that this site loves BMWs, but these visual changes to the 3 series just aren't significant enough to merit half the coverage they're getting IMO.

It is has finally been de-Bangled enough that it is pretty much on par with the old e46. A relief, considering they could have made it worse.

I actually have never quite liked the styling of this 3 series coupe and convertible. Seemed to soft to me. I like the hard edges of the E36 from 1991-2000 the best. The E46 was not too bad, but this coupe seems very hmmm how do I put this, melted in side profile. The down turning cut line makes it look very feminine compared to past 3 series coupes. It's not ugly, just not very aggressive like past 3 series. I have a E90 Sedan and I like its lines better than the coupe. This facelift is not too bad, but I am still awaiting the next gen 3'er.

This is what all LCI coupes will look like with the M Package.

The main difference for the 'iS' is the N54 engine which is the current twin turbo unit. All other 3 series will get the new N55 which is a single turbo, twin scroll unit with Valvetronic.

I like how there arent complaints about all of BMW's interiors. They look alike no matter what model you are in. I can barely tell them apart. I guess if it aint broke, dont fix it.

Im with you! I do not care for BME interiors. They are getting better however.

I like the E39 M5 "style" rims...

So...whats been updated? Honestly, short of putting an E90(s) next to an E46 the BMW body style hasn't dramatically changed since the E36 at the turn of the millenium.

Deboost away.

FYI. I owned an E30 so make sure you get your hate posts correct when bashing me.

This is NOT what the M Sport 3-series will look like. This car is much more unique!

The front/rear bumpers, side sills, black kidney grilles, black mirrors, black exhaust tips, uprated N54 engine with overboost function, DCT transmission, style 313 performance wheels etc are all exclusive to the "is" model.

This car is pure sex.

Right, if you click the "read more" link that will take you to the M-sport European package.

I had been speculating THAT is what the 335iS would take after, then pictures of the iS made their way onto the 'net.

Thus, I updated the story to reflect what was going on...

I'm just waiting to hear what the new M3 engine will be. Turbo V8? Upgraded NA V8?

Very good question that no one has an answer to except the folks at BMW. It has to keep distance from its M5/6 siblings and we do know it probably can't go back to a I-6 since the 335iS is going to be making some nice power.

A single turbo V8 would be a good guess.

Confirmed quite awhile ago. The NA V8 is dead for the next generation.

Not impressed- the simple lines of the current E92 are perfect. Now Munich has gone and mucked it up with the new LCI and now this....

i used to love the 3 series. this looks like the M6's little doofy brother. what ever happened to BMW?

WOW!!! The Bangle effect still lives on. The biggest mistake that BMW could have ever done with car design was hire Bangle. There's isn't a single attractive BMW available.
