All-new Mazda5 revealed ahead of Geneva Motor Show
Mazda unveiled today the all-new Mazda5 (known as the Mazda Premacy in Japan) and announced that the official debut will be made at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show on March 2, 2010.

The new Mazda5 embraces the dynamic and elegant Nagare design and promises to emit 15 percent less CO2 than the current model thanks to Mazda’s “i-stop” idling stop system, a direct injection gasoline engine and other green technologies. Among the engine range there will be a 2.0L direct injection gasoline engine ,ated to a six-speed manual transmission but also a 1.8L gasoline engine using the same gearbox.

I think it's funny how you said how it looks happy and stupid at the same time, I personally don't care for the smiling faces on their cars

I think it's a little too conservative compared to the previous generation..

There wasn't enough info to praise this vehicle, I hope that safety was improved and as far as looks are concerned, it hasn't improved at all, I hope it is better on gas and has more power.

Whats all that stuff happening on the side of the car?

Anyway, the only thing that makes this even remotely "cool" IMO is the fact that its a minivan that offers a six-speed manual. Other than that, you would never catch me interested in one of these.

I really like hatchback sedans and small minivan. So practical. The Mazda 5 in Europe and Asia has a very flexible middle row design whereby the middle seat can be folded out of the way (that row then has 2 small captain chairs) to give access to the 3rd row. But I agree on the unnecessary "mascara" on the exterior surface.

Wassup with those lines on the side of the van?

It's a van, remember. Look at the competition. Caravan, and the re-badged caravan routan. Do they really even compete cuz this is a mini-mini-van? who knows...bottom line is, if you are looking to save money and get reliable, efficient transportation for a family of 5-6 (young children) this may be a good fit.

moving on...
