Ford expects to sell more passenger cars into commercial fleets
Ford Motor Co. anticipates that in the first quarter, it will sell more passenger cars into commercial fleets compared with last year as large corporations are restocking their inventory.

Typically, Ford mostly sells pickup trucks and vans into commercial fleets, but now, the Fusion sedan is attracting a lot of attention from large corporations. In an interview with Automotive News, Jim Farley, Ford’s group vice president of global marketing said that one reason is the improving economy, which frees corporate purse strings to buy more fleet vehicles. These large companies are also noticing the Fusion sedan’s residual values.

Ford's numbers are largely and have always been due to fleet sales which is a rather sizable lack of profit...

And now with the Transit connect they are rocking the delivery fleet sales world--I'm sure sales have been taken away from the smallest sprinter vans because of it.
