There's an App for That: BMW Releases M Power Meter App for iPhone


Need to measure your 0-60 time, quarter-mile and more but don't have a drag strip in your backyard? There's an app for that. BMW has released a free iPhone app that measures both acceleration runs and the g's you're pulling in the process.




Of course, we wouldn't condone the use of a deserted back road as a makeshift drag strip and would always encourage you to keep your high speed runs on the track, but should you disregard our warnings, this little app might come in handy. We've showed you other dyno apps in the past that take advantage of the iPhone's built-in accelerometers to measure your car's performance, but they cost anywhere from $5 to $15. Now, BMW has undercut the competition with a free app that will measure both acceleration and

BMW only sells a tick over 200,000 cars a year in the USA...why in God's name is every other freaking article about BMW's on this site? Clearly the other 10 million cars here are sold to people who like other cars better!

Hey I wonder if somebody's coming out with a Smoke Alarm App that VW and Ford owners could use? lol!

And this is why people are having issues with driving, it's not texting or talking on the phone, it's trying to pull 2gs on the cloverleaf near the airport!
