STUD or DUD: Would You Be Caught Dead In This Aston Martin Double Oh Fake?

STUD or DUD: Would You Be Caught Dead In This Aston Martin Double Oh Fake?
Usually when you see a kit car that is a replica, it is a Ferrari 355 or possibly a Lamborghini Diablo. But, some guys in Thailand got a bit more creative this time around and coveted an Aston Martin DBS.

Which begs the question, is it 007 or 00F?

You have to give these guys some credit because that front fascia looks pretty spot on, if I do say so myself. Now the rest of the car is questionable, example "A" being the A-pillar.

What say you, Spies? Are you diggin' this or is it a waste of time and effort?

Let us know in the comments below...

Carscoop reports:

"A team of tuners, allegedly from Thailand, chose to sacrifice a 1990s Opel Calibra coupe to create this Aston Martin DB9 replica. We don't have any details on the project, but judging by the photos, we gather that it could fool an untrained eye..."

Just like a fake Rolex, if you going to pretend your money maybe better spent on self esteem courses.

No on both.

A GM slowpoke would be powering this beautifully cloned exterior? come on at least dump a Ford V8 in this thing. There is no shame at this point. It's a clone for crying out loud!

Guys....Guys

Give the team marks for effort.

If you or I wanted a DB9 or DBS we would just work harder or save up a bit more or even just take out a loan or lease and Voila, we have a DB9/S.

Im pretty sure these guys do not have a hope in hell of ever owning a real one so the Exercise in Bending and Shaping Steel to resemble such a Beautiful Vehicle should not be ridiculed by a few Privileged Armchair Experts in Western Countries.

Would you have prefered they copied the Mustang ? or maybe Camaro ?

Sometimes it is better to think before you type.
