Controversial BMW Billboard Spurs Series Of 911 Calls

Ah, advertising. Any publicity is good publicity, right? The aim of advertising is to garner attention for your product. Some succeed a whole lot better than others -- this one is one of those.

BMW dealerships are no strangers to ads that get attention. If you’ll remember the Audi vs. BMW ad war that played out in Santa Monica, California last year, you’ll know what we’re talking about.

Why would someone think that a person is actually sitting "atop" the billboard sign?

HA! That sign is about 10 mins. from my house. What's even funnier is it was in the news like 2 weeks ago so congrats on showing up to the party finally. I'm shocked that with all the BMW articles you passed this up for so long. Probably cause it didn't mention the 335is or new 5-series directly it skipped your Ctrl + F.

BMW only sells a tick over 200,000 cars a year in the USA...why in God's name is every other freaking article about BMW's on this site? Clearly the other 10 million cars here are sold to people who like other cars better!
