Spyshots: FINALLY, something interesting from Saab!

But let's see how bad GM screws this one up for Saab when it comes to the market. Saab has had several awesome show cars only to never come out, and none of the design language carries on from the show cars. GM has handled Saab SOO poorly I feel bad for them. Ford has done well with it's aquisitions such as Volvo, Aston Martin, and are still trying to work out Jaguar for the better. GM? Let's rebadge some cars and make them a Saab! Everyone would love a Saab Trailblazer! LOL! GM is moronic and I wish someone else would have bought Saab. I loved the old Saabs. When you saw it on the road, there was no mistaken it. My friend has an old 1990 Saab 900 Turbo, and she still drives it with 210K on the clock and has only had to fix a sunroof motor and the turbo once in its life. This Saab Aero-X has very unique styling and I love the taillight section. Side profile defitnately pays hommage to the Sonnet, and the front is distinctively Saab. Of course you can see a lil of it's roots, but this is a fine showcar (minus the open the whole front end thing going on). I hear rumor that GM may give Saab a rear-wheel drive platform for an upcoming car....why? More moronic moves by a blind GM. Saab invented front-wheel drive, why take away its heritage? Get rid of the Saaburu, and the Saablazer and try and make some real Saabs for people who love them before people forget what Saab was even all about...

You are right... Citroen invented fwd...I had forgotten about that brand (another shame their cool new autos don't make it here) I agree, I doubt it will reach production as well. My comments are that GM is really just destroying the heritage Saab has built for many years with it's quirky looks and safety.

I said GM needs to drop the 9-2X, it is a Subaru Imprezza in Saab Drag. I was saying how GM is famous at badge engineering cars. Never said GM owned Subaru. As for GM saving Saab, I think I would have rather it fold then to remember these embarassing Saabs out now like the Trailblazer clone. I wish a company that would have preserved Saab would have bought Saab, like VW or something like that. You don's see a Lamborghini Golf do ya? Hehe

I've never really been a fan of Saab. However, the reason behind that is because I don't see enough around to look them up and read up on them. Don't get me wrong, Saab has a couple nice models and i find them very attractive. They seem to make quality cars and it's respectable. I like the 93 Sport sedan and the convertible.

This concept is quite interesting and unique but i don't think it will hit the showrooms anytime soon. Maybe they'll use this as a base for a future model in the making but it is not a practical car to drive. You have to lift up the whole front top piece to get out? After awhile it'll be annoying. I guess if it's an exotic car you drive it only weekends on sunny days but i mean they can use the main bodyshape for a future model that would be nice.

As for power I think for a car of this calibre it should be around 500hp +
