Infiniti shows its worldwide brand image with new ads
We’ll finally get to see Nissan Motor Co.’s Infiniti brand’s first unified, worldwide brand image as it launches two new ads in national US newspapers. Infiniti’s team in North America, has in the past, accounted for about 75% of the brand’s global volume.

The luxury marquee would develop ads, which other markets could either use, or they could create their own, according to Jon Brancheau, global marketing director. Brancheau said that it’s likely that this scheme would result to an inconsistent strategy and look since not all markets will use the same ads. He asserted that going forward, the brand intends to have “one look and feel on a consistent basis.”

If people don't take Lexus seriously in a lot of places around the world what makes you think Infiniti is going to have any market share? Lexus has nothing to fear unless Infiniti rebadges the GT-R and puts it in Infiniti form that will catch some attention. Lexus is the pursuit of dullness despite the introduction of the LF-A.

So you're saying that because it will be hard to get started they shouldn't bother at all? Fear has no place in business growth. The only companies that should be afraid of anything are those that are on top and can lose everything. They have to move forward to continue on with their success.

You know, Lamborghini only got started about 50 years ago after making tractors, when Ferrari was well established. Look at them now.

Also, we get the point that you hate Lexus and think their cars are boring (not that me saying this will stop you from continuing to point that out)

However, what is it exactly you WANT that company to do? Call a meeting and say "Everyone - we are canceling the Lexus brand - regardless of years of great sales and continued expansion - we believe that we can not operate if BMW drivers think our cars are lame - we had a good run, thanks for the last 20 years"

Actually I don't hate Lexus. My daily driver is the flagship. I just don't find them exciting. They are good cars though. And I understand you are a fan of Lexus and that is fine as well. I get your point. Next time you don't need to write a whole book to explain yourself, I understand. You are not the only one :).

I am not a "fan of Lexus" - I hold no bias towards any specific make. I accept them all. I just end up defending Lexus because of all the hate of this site. Someone has to play devil's advocate without being a douche about it...

Being a gay man, I would like to know what your "dumb" post meant by that...

Why would anyone sign in 15 accounts to deboost you? But thanks for revealing you are a troll. A lame troll. Don't cry like a little girl next time will ya? It's just a website. Try not to let things get to you so much. Go out for a drive or something in your capsule of speed. You do own something fast right? otherwise you wouldn't be sitting on your high pedestal making 'gay' remarks and stirring up trouble on the internet. I don't care personally but you sure offended LACMAN. You are the winner of the 2010 TROLL OF THE YEAR AWARD! and the years just begun!

And just because you're upset that people deboost you it doesn't mean I am the one doing it. Look at most of your posts. LOTS of people deboost you. You infant.

Does anyone else see "RS4" design around the fog light area?

If you've read a car magazine lately: is Infiniti continuing their page-long, boring essays about some obscure engineer in Japan and "side (air)vents that stir passion"? Maybe they need BETTER marketing and not necessarily more?

Yes those ads suck

But at least they don't hide their Japanese heritage by hiring a spokesperson with a European-sounding accent...they're doing their best to show consumers they have pride in what they actually are: a Japanese luxury car maker with Japanese engineers, designs and apparently, long winded advertisments.

But do not forget the I30,G20, and QX35. These were all rebadged Maxima, Sentra, and Pathfinder. I think this was Infiniti first mistake 20 years ago. Those cars looked just like their Nissan counterparts. Infiniti should have started with a large and midsize sedan with a coupe to follow.

Just to clear things up...

The I30 was a Nissan Cefiro (which is essentially a Maxima) however, the G20 was a Nissan Primera, which shared nothing with the Sentra (including, and most importantly, the engine). Last, there is no such thing as a Qx35, (you must be thinking EX35) - there was a Qx4, which yes, was a rebadged pathfinder.

Agent63 I'm here to tell you that you are dead wrong about people will not take Lexus serious even though they now have the LFA. That was the whole purpose of bringing a halo car to the forefront...what page are you on. Lexus image has now been catapulted big-time since the introduction of the LFA! You havent seen the damage the LFA will be doing in incoming months not to mention what's going to happen when they debut the Lexus GS-F....and it's not if but whenever!

I think what I said got the reaction I wanted. If I was truly dead wrong I wouldn't be driving an LS to and from work most of the week. I am a fan of good craftsmanship. My other sedan is the MB S and that does the trick as well. I'm a car fan not a fan of one car. I think the LF-A is an awesome car. It's bringing attention to Lexus there is no doubt about that. They needed this car to make or break the upcoming years for Toyota. The world knows and hears the LF-A and is acknowledging it. I know there are a ton of Toyo-Lexus around these areas and it's funny to see people bitch and cry about dumb flame wars. Even though the LF-A is a Lexus halo car, the brand overall does not have the prestige and global appeal YET.

BUT, any person who has test driven modern day MB's, Audi's, BMW's, Jaguar's, and Lexus' knows it's hard to choose from a lot of models because they are so well engineered. We are in an era that cars are made so well we have no choice but to flame war. Autospies fuels the fire for all the fanboys and trolls to wheep about. And it's working.
