Bmw X5 has been named the luxury used car of the decade

CAP, UK’s independent used car pricing experts, has named the BMW X5 as the luxury used car of the decade. These experts at estimating residual value and whole life costs applauded the X5 for setting a new benchmark and taking the 4×4 from the field and putting it on the motorway.

The group is appreciative for the most part, for making it seem like the BMW X5 has always belonged there. Those who served as judges cited the X5’s “effortless usability, faultless build quality and strong influence on the marketplace.” Mike Hind, CAP Communications Manager, in talking about the 2000-2006 X5, said that the car appeals to the used car buyer who does need a workhorse, with towing power and room for the whole family’s holiday load.

Mine's 10 years old with 125K miles on it. My wife won't let it go.
Found a CPO 06 with 10K miles on it last week but it sold before we could get to the dealer.
New ones are too big for us. We'll go with a Q5 once this one is scrap.

good choice for the Q5 I would get one also.....But the previous X5 looks a little better than the current model IMO....I would prefer the sport 2004 4.8is thats still my favorite X5 over the current model. I cant wait to see the next X5 because I still do not like the current model.

Probably because you can get one for less than half what they are new and still have it run fine.

I am not privy to UKs numbers on used luxury cars, but I can bet that is not the #1 used luxury of the decade. And last I checked the X5 is an SUV, not a car.

Best SUV on the planet. Older model definitely better than newer model.
