Will Apple's iPad Be The Ultimate Gaming Device?

Will Apple's iPad Be The Ultimate Gaming Device?
Probably fighting with the 2011 BMW 5-series for the most anticipated unveil within the past 12 months, today Apple finally took the wraps off of the iPad. No, not the iSlate or the iPhone XXL. And after today's introduction and press conference it looks like this may be another Apple hit. Time will tell.

Although we know it will be able to surf the web, do some word processing and read iBooks, there was one thing that seems to of been overlooked by much of the press; automotive gaming.

As you can see in the shots below -- thanks to our friends at Engadget -- the one feature that was talked about was Electronic Arts' Need For Speed Shift.

The new iPad will definitely make for a different gaming experience as the touch controls are on the screen.

Although Need For Speed Shift has already been released in the iPhone, do you think that this is only the beginning for a flurry of new video games featuring different kinds of interaction with users? Think of it changing the video game landscape like Nintendo's Wii.

Pageviews are extremely strong for this content.

You are in the minority.

A severe minority. Live with it.

There could be other reasons for the high pageviews... such as, trying to find some complaints, perhaps? I understand your business intentions, I suppose. It's the same intentions that have finally taken down Toyota and maybe even Lexus - and for the best probably.

Only ATT&T, no flash, no camera same OS as an I Phone and in credibly stupid name.

Sorry Steve, dont expect this one to fly off the shelves.

And the other trouble with most mac products... there might be fewer viruses out there targeting them... but the ones that are there will pretty much render it a shiny paperweight.

Can anyone give me three good reasons to spend 499 on the Imaxipad?

I dont get the use of it, if your home, you have a lap top..if your on the go you have a smart phone (which you pay for data anyway)

Just another thing you have to carry around and pay for.
