Corvette Grand Sport Interior.

Corvette Grand Sport Interior.
How long has it been since you have last sat in a Corvette? GM has been upping the interior quality in all of their models. Seen in the pictures below is a push button start, leather wrapped dash, carbon fiber center console. Where there is plastic, soft touch plastics have been used.

It still isn't perfect, as seen with the gray plastic aluminum on the shifter knob and hand brake and steering wheel.

What is your opinion spies? Is this a strong step forward for this economy supercar?

Personally, I think all they need to do is update the steering wheel, and they would finally be able to ditch the "cheap" stigma.

I have no problems with materials either, at least from what I can see in the photograph (feel being another issue). But I'm not crazy about the design, particularly the over-stylized gauges, the leather shift boot (sorry, on an automatic?) and the lack of trim (though I recognize that this helps keep the cost down).

The Z06 weighs in a 3175lbs and has a 7.0 liter engine, how exactly do you think they should reduce weight? Minimize the dimensions of the car?

Chevrolet Corvette is my all time favorite. The best.

All those superexpensive to buy and maintain supercars are fine but what's the point of becoming exciting of something you'll never have, never experience properly and will only watch in pictures on the Internet?

Corvette offers supercar performance, capabilities AND LOOKS for the price ordinary hard working people with just a tad better jobs can afford. If not new, then a used one. And they will maintain it without going bust.

Instead of going exotic with terrible cost-per-unit, Government Motors did series production supercar and made the slogan "power to the people" actually come true.

The difference between the Vette and an exotic toy zillion dollar supercar is the same as difference between a real car and the one on the wall poster.

For me, this renders all this $9999999999999999999 nonsense cars obsolete. May celebrities or overpaid executives play with them. I want my Vette.

nice updates to the surfaces, but the real question is what the next generation will look like and when it comes out

That is the same steering wheel. My goodness give it a proper steering wheel.
Also it is full of old tech, The navigatin sysytem is old and look at the climate control unit.
The Corvette should not be undersold by the Camaro However the Camaro interior is far better

I love the faux plastic carbon fiber that looks like it came out of the back of a mail order catalog!
