Toyota dealing with defective accelerator pedals since December 2008?
The Wall Street Journal revealed that Toyota Motor Corp. has been dealing with defective accelerator pedals in Europe since December 2008. To fix the defective pedals, Toyota is set to recall vehicles in Europe.

Although a Toyota Motor Europe spokesman declined to confirm it, media reports say that the recall will affect 2 million vehicles in Europe. Toyota Europe said in a press release that the models and exact number of potentially affected vehicles are under investigation. Toyota asserted that production won’t need to be stopped in Europe because it has already revised its production process to use different parts, which it believes will resolve the issue.
