STUD or DUD: Is Fiat's 695 Tributo A Poser-Mobile?

The best way to compare Fiat to any auto manufacturer would be to call it the "Volkswagen of Italy." Fiat has its hands in all sorts of vehicles, from Ferrari to Iveco -- a commercial truck producer.

So, when Fiat produced the Abarth 500 "695 Tributo Ferrari," I cannot say I was entirely caught off guard. Although it has made its way around the auto show circuit, I have yet to see pictures of it roaming in the wild, until now.

Drawing some cues from one of Ferrari's greatest creations, the 430 Scuderia, the Fiat looks somewhat laughable, as if someone jokingly presented this to the Fiat board hoping for a laugh. Unfortunately, someone took them seriously.

What say you, Spies? Is the Fiat that boasts just about as many Ferrari badges as the real deal a joke or is it the hottest thing since pizza?

This would be no different an attempt to keep buyers of their pricer models in the manufacture's show room when they shop for an everyday city car. Similar to what Aston Martin has done with the Cygnet Concept.
