lol, this is a special edition of the Highlander er I mean LX. It is entirely possible that they are badge engineering it up to these ridiculous prices.

The "You're a Tool" comment should of ended this debate. That was awesome.

"Clearly this Joe_tool is totally ignorant about Toyota platforms."

You know what, you may be onto something there. I guess I'm not bored enough to read up about something as boring as Toyota platforms.

lol, I said it jokingly, they look identical, and that is a stupid price for something that looks like a highlander. Take a chill pill.

No way those prices are correct. Must be a mistake. LX570 is my daily driver for more than 3 months now and it comes around 90K USD here in Middle East. As the cars are comparably cheaper in US, LX570 must be around 80K USD there.

But as usual the blind haters like joe would come up and without thinking for a minute, start their daily practice of putting down Toyota.

How do you like it so far?

Did you consider a full size Range Rover? (2010)

Both trucks are 2 of my favorites.

The Lexus U.S. website list starting price at $76,905.00, obviously not U.S. dollars.

LOL. I can't even believe people would pay $76k for one of these, let alone $165k.

These are probably Australian prices you stupid people.

I'd rather buy a new GX460 and pocket the cash. There's no way to justify over $100K for the LX. Best case it should $80K and that's still too much.

For 2010 there is a sport version of LX570. You can check the photos in the link, you will see two models, one regular LX570 which is coming from 2008 and new sport version with revised front and rear bumpers and lower side skirts variant added in 2010. But the price is 100% not US Dollars. In US it should be around 70-85K, i am not sure.

I am a big fan of Land cruiser and Lexus LX. Both basically same car but in LX you have more luxury features, soft leather and overall high quality inside. And if you are like me, very often going offroad, dunes climbing, long comfortable drives and seeing locations(where roads are often in not good conditions or no roads at all) you will appreciate it a lot and it is probably the best option available. It is also great at doing daily work. I also keep Range Rovers but Land Cruiser is just more capable and reliable. You can push it lot more compare to Range Rover. Another important thing for me is availability of spare parts and there cost. So there are lot of reasons but again you have to have the lifestyle to enjoy and see difference in models.

There was a time whe you could buy a decent new car for US$ 1 or 2 thousand; a luxury or sports car a little higher. I wouldn't be surprised if some of our readers see prices reach 6 figures for common cars in thier lifetimes.

The LX is a fantastic vehicle. However, the pricing shown here is not for North America.

This definitely is not US pricing else it would make it the most expensive price jump for a FMC in history.
