You know, in the U.S. we probably have the worst cop cars on the face of the planet. Don't get me wrong, within the past couple of years we have seen the new Dodge Charger enter the police fleets but on the whole they are comprised of Chevrolet Impalas and even worse, the Ford Crown Victoria.

That doesn't mean that the rest of the world is plagued with such atrocities. For instance, the Italian police, as you would expect, had a Lamborghini Gallardo -- before someone totaled it. And, it appears other police forces have some pretty cool vehicles in their fleets as well.

Listen to this lineup: Nissan GT-R, Lexus IS-F, Mercedes-Benz CLS, AC Schnitzer 1-series, Pontiac/Holden G8s, Hummer H3, Porsche 911 and Lotus Elises.

Cool,but cars like these would not survive in NY. Potholes the size of baseball fields,weather and the animals that get locked up over here would wreck these vehicles within a few days.The chases over here arn't how you see them on t.v . People try and lose the cops on side streets let alone highways. I have seen a few cop cars jump a curb or slam into a pole because little civic si's just outran them lol.

That is true. It is unbelievable how much USA has ignored infrastructure investments over the past few decades. Roads in Moscow Russia are way better than in New York or LA or Chicago or Seattle. Pathetic.

these cop cars are just for show...nothing more!

from a cops perspective, the Crown Vic is the best cop car to date. RWD, great power and can fit a bunch of idiots in the back! the Crown Vic gets the job done, it's why Ford has kept it around for so long...
