Transportation Secretary Now Worries About The Spread Of Technologies In Vehicles
Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood is concerned that a host of technologies in new vehicles are distracting drivers.

"Some of these car manufacturers are putting all these gadgets and bells and whistles that are going to distract people -- and we're trying to get gadgets and bells and whistles out of their hands and out of their ears," LaHood said Wednesday.

He declined to say if he'll try to restrict in-vehicle technologies.

More like the Nanny Party. LaHood apparently fancies himself some kind of savior. I'm sure more people have been killed adjusting their radios than through any failed systems-related car tech. If he proposes the elimination of radios, then I'll have to listen to my wife in the car. Surely someone will die then.

Huu, you are right! The Japanese laws and regulations have been so skewed against non-Japanese cars in their home market for so long that it is about time they get a bit of it back. Good call huu.
