Both NADA and KBB Lower Used Toyota Values

Both NADA and KBB Lower Used Toyota Values
NADA Used Car Guide, used virtually by every dealer in every state, has dropped the wholesale (loan) values of used Toyotas a little over 3%. The retail values will drop a corresponding amount.

Kelley Blue Book (KBB) has also lowered the values of Toyotas around 3%. KBB, although it enjoys high name recognition among consumers, is not used by most dealers or most lenders in most parts of the United States for determining used vehicle values.

It was only a short time ago in December of 2009 that Kelley Blue Book issued a press release stating that Toyota had the best resale value of any make.

As a real-world example of what the new pricing means in the market, a 3% hit in value to a $15,000 USD used car means a price drop of $450.

Muh yeah...value is temporarily low on Toyotas for now but, I'll be checking in from time to time and as soon as this whole mess pass things will turn around. The new Toyota Revolution is just around the corner. Dont be pissed when you hear about Toyotas unwillingness to work with many top US Automotive Suppliers in the future. I wonder why!....

Toyota Revolution? You mean when side effects of forcing all of your suppliers to cut costs by 30% start showing up in the cars they sell?

lol, I didn't bring up the government enforced "voluntary" recalls. If I did I'd say something about recalls. I'm talking about Toyota's approach to milk every last cent of their reputation till the mexican peso is worth more then one of their shares.

lol I admitted nothing, I put it in quotations because that is what you think. If you clean your room after your mom tells you to, you have not voluntarily cleaned your room.

Badgewhore, how on earth will these suppliers cut costs by 30%, they already make a fraction of a percent per part made in many cases the owner of these supplier companies makes less than the engineers they hire! This 30% cost will go directly into making cheaper parts, you make cheaper parts by a) loosening tolerances, b) using cheaper materials, c) ditching quality control, or d)subcontracting out to china where they will do all of the above for you. Trust me, all of these things make cars more dangerous, unreliable, and of shittier build quality.

I can't say this is not unwarranted.

How is this the least bit surprising?

Why people need to wait for a Toyota Revolution this is not the only brand on the market and now everybody know about their real quality.
I invite everyone to check a crash test of the Toyota Yaris is a real danger for every passenger. Why people don't check first crash test and other detail before buy this low quality car. You can see this test in YOU TUBE.
