Sport Saloon SHOWDOWN: RS6 Vs. E63 AMG Vs. Panamera Turbo, Who Is Getting YOUR Vote?

Sport Saloon SHOWDOWN: RS6 Vs. E63 AMG Vs. Panamera Turbo, Who Is Getting YOUR Vote?
Let's set up a scenario: you have approximately 100 large of disposable cash in your hand, you have two kids and you have to keep your significant other happy.

Not exactly the easiest situation, but, we have a solution for you.

Three cars, three looks, three prices and three awesomely fun toys. Look no further than the Audi RS6, Porsche Panamera Turbo and Mercedes-Benz E63. Sure, Audi AG does not import the RS6 to the States but do not be such a Debbie Downer.

The Audi boasts a remarkable -- as expected -- Quattro system, a bi-turbo V10 producing 571-horsepower and subtle styling.

Porsche's Panamera Turbo is a rocket ship boasting 500-horsepower and completely unique styling. There is no way that a Panamera is going to be confused for anything else. If that is not a selling point, then the fact it is the unofficial record holder for the fastest sedan around the Nurburgring is a brilliant selling point. Take that, CTS-V!

Last but not least is the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. Sounded like an unchained wildebeest that has been pissed off, the E63 is a 518-horsepower sedan that Evo's Chris Harris picked as his personal favorite sport saloon. Considering Harris has driven just about every supercar under the sun, this does carry some weight.

More importantly though, what is your pick and WHY?

By stats alone, Porsche turbo, and I don't mind the look at all. My opinion might change if I drove all 3 and really compared them.

Why isn't there a Lexus in there? Sports Package LS460 easily hangs with the cars tested.

According to the article, the Mercedes won basically because it was good on all fronts. Panamera was second as they complained about the ride. The Audi was last with "handling deficits" in tight turns.

They picked the E63 ahead of the Porsche.
1. E63 502 points out of 650
2. Panamera Turbo 485 points out of 650
3. RS6 479 points out of 650

I say, do what makes *you* happy, and get that sexy, impractical, two-seat convertible. But remember to leave enough aside to also get a mini-van for the wife and kids. Now everyone is happy!

Think outside the box. Create your own choices to make your own happiness.

RS6 and Panamera win hands down. don't get why they even included a piece of garbage in the comparison... Please have it towed away.

I don't see a BMW M5 here. Which car are you referring to?

Your reply is a classical example of how today's schools have failed to teach kids, perhaps you were or are one of them, critical thinking skills - in this case, reading proficiency, implication, and inference.

A simplified procedure in understanding what I wrote in the post to which you replied is as follows.
I. count how many cars are included in the showdown. Let's count. 1)RS6, 2) Panamera, and the which one is the third one? Good job!
II.let's reread my post, I wrote that RS6 and Panamera are "good". Which one is left out of the "good" group?
III.Which one is garbage? Good job! Good try!
