2010 Chicago Auto Show: EXCLUSIVE, First REAL-Life Shots Of The 2011 BMW Alpina B7
One of the most legendary names that manages to throw its weight around in the BMW community is Alpina. The first thought that comes to mind: radial-spoke, large diameter rims.
There is something magic about the B7. And, no, it has nothing to do with the fact this is the closest we'll likely get to an M7. More so, the car has an heir of exclusivity that surpasses that of an Audi S8 or Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG.
Alpina brings more of an aftermarket look and feel to the relatively conservative F01 7-series. This provides a bit of panache and gives the 7-series some flavor.
It is kind of like having the choice between a filet mignon and a New York strip steak. At the end of the night they are both great cuts of meat, but the strip will make your palette explode.

I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT,...........Alpina has not let me down with the B7 yet. Everything on this car just flows the wheels the body kit everything just flows. Now this is the way a flagship car should look with a sporty feel to it. this thing will have the current M5 performance if not better out of the current V8 which I think is very impressive......because if they get that kind of power out of the V8 just imagine what they can do to the V12. BMW and Aplina are a perfect combo when it comes to the aftermarket world.

I love it. Add it to a very exclusive list. It was just the S65 but now it's got the B7 to join it. Lexus better pull something out of their ass for this one. My LS is going to be replaced soon. Perhaps by a Jaguar XF-R.

I would too this looks more clean cut and aggressive with more subtlness than the S63.

is that the only thing you can point out.....If you look at the side profile you can tell the spoiler is not out of place it flows with the lines of the car alot more smoothly than lets say a nasty DTM spoiler on the roof and the trunk not saying the S63 has that but some after markets would do that.
dont get me wrong i like the S63 with its MAYBACH-ISH styling who wouldnt like it. But I hope Mercedes WEANS away from the Maybach with the next generation S-class.

very impressed with the way this car looks.
last week my cousin just got a 750li xdrive with m sport package ( 103k msrp )
as far as the drive, it is just a pleasure, acceleration was effortless and very comfortable, the m sport package is nice, but still kinda visually plain.
This B7 stands out much more and i think is just perfect without being over done...
